The Houston Rockets, buzzing about the arrival of Ron Artest, already have injury concerns with Tracy McGrady. Houston’s leading scorer said Monday that his left shoulder is arthritic and will require surgery after this season. He also said his left knee is healing slower than expected from surgery in the spring. Pfund resigns from Heat after 13 seasons
Miami general manager Randy Pfund, who helped the Heat win the 2006 NBA championship as the highlight of his 13 years with the franchise, resigned Monday. Pfund has chosen to pursue “other business opportunities,” the Heat said in a release. Team president Pat Riley will assume Pfund’s duties.
